Trever Maur – Best Video / Short Series and Best Content Creator
Active Water Sports team rider Trever Maur is definitely one of the standouts from the 2020 Wake Awards, taking home two awards! The first award Trever won was “Best Video / Short Series” for his Pre Pandemic video that highlighted much of his riding prior to the world shutting down back in March. Fast forward to 14:20 to watch a clip of Pre-Pandemic and hear Trever’s acceptance speech.
One of the most progressive and creative riders on the planet, Trever brings that same creativity to his filmmaking. That is why he is the first-ever recipient of the “Best Content Creator” award. He stayed very busy making content in 2020 with two of the biggest edits of the year, Pre-Pandemic and No Place Like Home, along with countless clips on social media for your viewing pleasure. Fast forward to 23:40 to watch Trever accept the award.
Tyler Higham – Best Boat Rider and Trick of the Year
Going back to back! Active Water Sports team rider Tyler Higham is taking home the “Best Boat Rider” award for the second year in a row. Whether he is stomping runs on the Pro Wake Tour or free riding back at home in Florida, Ty is riding at an absurdly high level that we’ve never seen before. Fast forward to 45:20 to watch Ty win the award.
Ty also won the award for 2020 Indmar Trick of the Year with his 7-2-5 (that is a 720-rewind-540). This rewind trick variation helped the 2x winning Best Boat Rider win his first Trick of the Year award.
