Massi Joins Prestigious ROTY Club
Massi Piffaretti is taking home wakeboarding’s biggest award after being crowned the 2019 Alliance Rider of the Year. The 24 year old Italian made his presence felt all year as he won events, stacked magazine covers, and continually dropped banger clips on social media. On top of that all, he debuted his first pro model wakeboard, the Ronix RXT, which flew off the shelves everywhere. His accomplishments are even more impressive when you consider he did all this while recovering from an ACL injury he suffered back in 2018.
Congratulations Massi! This award is much deserved!
Previous Rider of the Year award winners include Parks Bonifay, Danny Harf, Raph Derome and Harley Clifford. When speaking on why Massi is so deserving of the award, last year’s winner Guenther Oka summed it up well by saying “the dude kept it creative, he kept it fresh, he went into all aspects of riding and that’s why he is the rider of the year”. Erik Ruck added “I feel like Massi can ride with the best of them in the park and he also is just a gamechanger behind the boat”.
Massi is Coming to PDX July 11th
Massi and 15 of the other top wakeboarders in the world will be in town July 11th for the Pro Wakeboard Tour’s Portland stop. Active Water Sports is bringing back wakeboarding’s biggest event for the first time since 2007 and you don’t want to miss it! Stay tuned for more event info.
