Fan Voting Now Open for 2020 Wakeboarding Reader’s Poll
It’s that time of year! The nominees have been announced for the 2020 Wakeboarding Reader’s Poll and it is time for you to vote for your favorite riders and brands. This year there are nine different categories – more than ever before.
A couple Active Water Sports team riders are nominated for Wakeboarding Reader’s Poll awards this year. Tyler Higham is one of 10 nominees for ‘Favorite Male Wakeboarder – Boat’ and Trever Maur is one of five nominees for ‘Favorite Content Creator’.
Tyler Higham – Favorite Male Wakeboarder – Boat
After winning Boat Rider of the Year at the 2019 Wake Awards, Ty had another huge year in 2020. He debuted his first pro model wakeboard, the Ronix Supreme, and secured a 3rd place overall finish on the Pro Wakeboard Tour. One of the most consistent athletes on the tour this Summer, Higham finished on the podium at all four events including a personal best second place finish at the fourth and final tour stop. Ty is also one of the best wakeboarder follows on Instagram – always posting awesome edits that put his silky smooth style on full display.
Trever Maur – Favorite Content Creator
Equally talented in front of and behind the camera, Trever Maur is always putting out some great content. 2020 was a big year for him with the release of a couple big-time video projects, an endless amount of Instagram edits and the birth of his baby boy, Slater.
‘The Phillies’ highlights his trip to the Philippines with several other Hyperlite team riders before the birth of his newborn son. Trever’s other video project, ‘Pre Pandemic‘, shows off his unique style and versatility – absolutely shredding behind the boat, at the cable park and with his winch. Set aside ten minutes of your day to watch these two edits if you haven’t yet!
In addition to all his personal projects, Trever helps out with the marketing efforts for all his sponsors. At team photoshoots he often spends most of his time behind the camera while still managing to get in front of the lens for a few moments.
Voting closes on Sunday, November 1st at 11:59 p.m. You may only vote once in each category.
