We created some tips for how you should take care of your wakesurf board, some more obvious than others, to ensure that your board will be around for years to come.
Protect your board with a bag
The simplest way to keep your wakesurf board safe from the sun or getting thrashed is to keep it in a bag or sock when it's not in use. Socks are good if you leave your boat in the water throughout the summer and aren't carrying your board back and forth. And padded bags are recommended if you are moving your board around from boat to car often.
Stay clear of objects that could damage your board
Wakesurf boards are made of fragile foam cores that can easily snap or ding when thrashed into poles or swim platforms. Be especially careful handling your board from your car to the boat, walking down to the dock and loading it on the boat. Some riders prefer platform starts into the water, but that can be risky for your board and your platform. Instead, start your ride from the water and fall into the water when you're ready to call it quits.
If you do ding it, repair it
If you do end up dinging your board on something, be sure to repair it as soon as possible in order to avoid water in the core.
