Redbull Double or Nothing 2022 Recap

Wake legend Parks Bonifay is back at it again with the 9th Annual Redbull Double or Nothing! Since its start in 2004, the Double or Nothing event has brought together some of the world's top wakeboarders to put their skills to the ultimate test. This epic event went down September 17th, 2022 at Lake Ivanhoe in downtown Orlando, FL. So, let's recap on some of the insanity that occured... This year's lineup consisted of 16 athletes. 14 of those were preselected pros, leaving two open spots to be claimed. After sharing their entries via Instagram, brothers Ulf and Kai Ditsch proved they were worthy of competing amongst the best of the best. The boys we're feeling the hype and Parks couldn't pass up on the opportunity to include their talents in this year's competition. This year's Double Up lineup of athletes included:

The lineup was stacked and with no room for error, the pressure was on. The crowd was roaring and the dubs were being served up like Sunday breakfast. Only 4 of the 16 riders advanced to the final to give us their best 4 double ups with hopes of coming out on top. Massi Piffaretti, Guenther Oka, Sam Brown and Luca Kidd threw down in an all out double up brawl for the crown. When all was said and done, Massi Piffaretti took 2nd place with Guenther Oka claiming 3rd. This year's DON champion was Sam Brown. Throwing down a mute double mobe to claim the top spot and a healthy $10,000 check. Congratulations Sam!
